Privacy policy

This policy covers the Table to Excel extension for Chrome and the website tidykit.app, both made by TidyKit ("we"). In short: the extension doesn't collect or send any data, and the website has no cookies, analytics or ads.
Table to Excel extension
- The extension reads a web page only after you click its icon or choose Show tables on this page in the right-click menu. It then reads the tables on that page to show them and to copy or export them.
- All processing happens in your browser. The extension doesn't send page content, tables or any other data to us or to anyone else, and it doesn't store data on your computer.
- When you press Copy, the table is placed on your clipboard. When you press CSV or XLSX, your browser saves the file the same way as any other download.
- Permissions: activeTab and scripting let the extension read the tab you clicked it on, at that moment only. contextMenus adds the menu item. The extension has no access to your other tabs, your browsing history or your accounts.
- When you remove the extension, Chrome opens the page tidykit.app/table-to-excel/uninstall/. Its address contains the extension version number and nothing else.
Uninstall survey
- If you answer the question on the uninstall page, we store the reason you chose, your comment if you wrote one, the extension version, the date and the country your request came from. Cloudflare determines the country from your IP address. We don't store the IP address.
- Answers are not linked to your identity. Please don't put personal information in the comment.
- We use the answers to decide what to fix, and we delete them after 24 months.
Website
- tidykit.app uses no cookies, analytics, advertising or third-party scripts.
- The site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. To deliver pages and protect the site from abuse, Cloudflare processes technical data of each request, such as your IP address and browser type. Your IP address is also used for a short time to limit how often the survey form can be sent. We don't keep request logs. Cloudflare's handling of this data is described in the Cloudflare privacy policy.
If you write to support@tidykit.app, we receive your email address and message and use them only to reply to you. Mail to this address is forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing to a mailbox hosted by Google (Gmail). We delete your messages if you ask us to.
Your rights
You can ask what data we hold about you and ask us to correct or delete it by writing to support@tidykit.app. Survey answers are not linked to your identity, so to delete one we need its date and the text of your comment.
Children
Our products are not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of the extension starts collecting any data, we will update this policy before that version is released. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version.
